Kebbi state Government says it will, in collaboration with Sustaining Health Outcomes in the Private Sector Plus (SHOP PLUs) and USAID, train 17 medical personnel on eradication of Diarrhea.
The team leader of the collaboration, Ayodele Iroko, said in Birnin-Kebbi that seven rural communities had been visited as part of efforts to raise awareness on eradicating the disease.
She said media awareness, jingles and campaign slogans had been embarked upon while 1,000 affected children had been treated.
The team leader said the collaborative effort was strictly aimed at eradicating diarrhea in the state.
Iroko noted that the collaboration would also ensure safety of the children through extensive campaign. She advised parents, especially mothers, to ensure their children were kept away from filthy environment and supported on personal hygiene.
Earlier, the Wife of the Governor, Zainab Bagudu, commended the collaborative effort and selection of the state for the campaign. She assured the organisers of a hitch-free exercise in the state.
