The Federal Government, has vowed to unleash the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC and security agencies against promoters of hate speech and songs now raging in some sections of the country.
This was coming after NBC promised to apply appropriate sanctions from the broadcasting code against the broadcasters of the hate songs.
Former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, also condemned the anti-Igbo songs fanned in some sections of the North.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said apart from imposing of sanction by NBC any broadcast station that broadcasts the hate song, security agencies are also on the lookout on those found to be engaged in hate speeches in any form.
Also responding to the hate songs, the Director-General of the NBC, Modibo Kawu, vowed to sanction any broadcast station found to have transmitted the hate songs.
