The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure, has urged Corps members to sustain credibility of election process when involved in 2019 general election and beyond.
Kazaure made the call when he visited 2018 Batch-C, Stream-1, Corp members in Wamakko orientation camp in Sokoto state.
The Director General said Corp member’s involvement in election process had added credible value to the system. He called on them to understand peoples’ cultures and ensure more commitment to skills training, which will be beneficial to them in future.
Kazaure warned Corp members against unauthorized journeys and urged them to be patient till after service, unless when it’s absolutely necessary.
In his remarks, the Sokoto State Coordinator of NYSC, Philip Enaberue, said a total of 2,089 Corps members were registered in the camp out of which 1,047 are males while 1,042 are females.
