SALLAH HOMAGE: BAUCHI EMIR DEMANDS PRISON, END TO WATER SCARCITY

The Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Adamu, has paid a Sallah homage
to the Bauchi Government where he laid down complaints on challenges bedeviling
the city and its environs. The monarch call for an end to the acute water
shortage that is hitting Bauchi and its environs.

Adamu explained that his emirate council has for some
years been pleading with the relevant federal authorities for the establishment
of a new prison and the relocation of the old one from the heart of the state
capital.

The Emir also complained about the high 2017 Hajj fare
for the 2017 and ask the state government reduce the cost of fertilizer which
was pegged at 5,500 naira per bag to enable peasant farmers to get the commodity
essential to will boost food production in the state.

He commended the state government for its roads
reconstruction projects across the state, calling for the extension of the
projects to some rural roads in his
emirate.
